LOCATE ABNORMAL CONDITIONS
WITH CLARITY

Infrared surveys use thermal imaging cameras to find abnormally hot or cold areas on equipment under normal operating conditions. This nondestructive evaluation technique can reveal potential faults that are not visible to the naked eye and help prevent premature failure, loss of production, or loss of capital investment.

United Power Services conducts thermographic inspections for utilities, manufacturing, and institutional facilities, using certified Level II thermographers and professional FLIR and Fluke long-wave cameras. All inspections are performed independently, providing unbiased findings without performing field service work based on the results.

Thermal imaging can detect issues caused by loose connections, unbalanced loads, improper installation, or normal wear. Common inspection targets include transformer bushings, overhead power lines, motor control centers, control equipment, fused disconnects, capacitor banks, switchgear, bus duct, motors, and other energized components.
