Infrared surveys use thermal imaging cameras to find abnormally hot or cold areas on equipment under normal operating conditions. This nondestructive evaluation technique can reveal potential faults that are not visible to the naked eye and help prevent premature failure, loss of production, or loss of capital investment.

Thermal imaging can detect issues caused by loose connections, unbalanced loads, improper installation, or normal wear.
